Why Did we Open a Clinic?
Short Version... the Greater Toronto Area has many hijama "hobbyists" and not enough professionals. Our experiences with hijama in the GTA were so disappointing, we decided that Muslims of Toronto needed something worthy and deserving of being called a Sunnah. So we made dua' to let us be in service of the community.
Longer Version... Go to YouTube and type in hijamah. Guaranteed you will find a variety of videos of hijamah being done in very informal settings and with questionable equipment. Lawn chairs, garages, or someone's living room floor. Further, the practitioners are all saying the same thing... "here is the bad blood.. look at it! Eww!". This is a very shallow and vague communication of the underlying processes behind hijamah. After watching videos like this, many, many questions are raised about the qualifications of the practitioners (unfortunately there are few regulatory bodies), the safety of the procedure, and there is never any detailed explanation of what exactly is happening within the patients body.
In our opinion Hijamah is a Divine medicine and should be treated with a specific Haqq (right). As practitioners intending to revive the sunnah we believe the complete experience from start to finish should be safe, sterile, and most importantly educational. We live in the information era but sadly, few people know about their body and the systems within, let alone how to attain optimal performance. Unfortunately over time, 'conventional wisdom' about personal health is no longer conventional.
We have taken a modern approach to traditional Islamic medicine. At our clinic everyone is treated as a family member, and we take the time to educate and inform you about your body's inner workings. Over the course of your visits you will come to develop new paradigms and new lifestyle habits. We always hear about mind-body-spirit, and our system of health education and hijamah treatments absolutely addresses all three. This is what is meant by holisitic medicine. We apply a combination of NLP, psychology and traditional approaches to ensure that your health issue's underlying causes are understood and corrected, and that you leave a changed person.
For this reason we invite you to take the next step and experience Hijamah Works yourself. It is upon you, and know that when you are dealing with Allah and His messenger (saw), you will never be in loss.

Our Story
In 2009 Allah (swt) willed that a member in our family was stricken with a rare illness. After months upon months and specialist after specialist, not even the best doctors in the GTA could identify the root cause of the illness. From there we traveled along a path of alternative, traditional and holistic medicines. During this journey we met many fantastic individuals, and each contributed in their own regards, but progress was slow and incremental. It was not until we tried hijamah that the symptoms of the illness began to rapidly alleviate. Life began to return to normal for our dear family member - Alhumdulillah.
After that we found that many chronic illnesses require regular treatment, and we were astounded at the lack of knowledge of Hijamah in our community. We thought of dozens of friends and family who could benefit from the service but unfortunately we could not find a service in the GTA that was professional, educational, holistic, and affordable. We decided to be that service. We believe in integrity and professionalism and are on a journey to bring Hijamah to the mainstream. May Allah grant you and us success in our journey's, ameen.
