HijamahWorks is a group of wellness practitioners specializing in the lost art of Wet Cupping.Our vision is to build an empowered and educated community, centered around personal and family health, embodying the principles taught to us by Islam's final Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him) in his sunnah.
We are partnered with a full-service Physiotherapy and Massage clinic offering a variety of additional services. Our practitioners are all Licensed Manual Osteopaths and Certified Hijamah Practitioners (CHP). The HijamahWorks Difference:Hijamah is a Prophetic sunnah which means it must be upheld to the best of standards, befitting for observant Muslims. Why did we start HijamahWorks?When a dear family member fell ill and needed Hijama, all of the practitioners and clinics we found fell short of our expectations. Some did the service in informal environment such as the living room floor, others did not have a proper intake process, and others simply could not explain hijamah to us in a detailed and methodical manner. This is why we take the time to sit, talk and educate. It is a two-way relationship. Our practitioners are professionally trained beyond just hijamah. We do not cram you into a room with strangers, we do not leave you alone, we do not surprise you with hidden fees, we do not make you sit on the floor, we respect your privacy and above all- we are flexible to suit your needs.
What is Hijamah?Hijamah is the Arabic word for Cupping. It is an Ancient healing art and a tradition of Islam's final Prophet and Messenger, Muhammed (peace be upon him).
Through the application of vacuum suction cups to targeted sites on the body for a short period of time, the body is able to respond by triggering blood regeneration, and other immune responses. The resulting reduction of inflammation helps restore balance to your body. For most people the effects can be felt within minutes. Hijamah is a effectively medicine-free approach to jump start your immune system so your body can heal itself.
